32-year-old Gabriel Falcon killed after a bicycle crash in Long Beach (Long Beach, CA)

Authorities identified 32-year-old Gabriel Falcon as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident on May 21 in Long Beach.

The fatal bicycle crash took place in the area of Anaheim Street and Coronado Avenue at about 12:15 AM. According to the investigation reports, the bicycle rider, 32-year-old Gabriel Falcon, was heading eastbound in the westbound lanes on Anaheim Street when he was hit by a 2009 Toyota Corolla going westbound on Anaheim Street.

On arrival, first responders found the bicyclist lying unconscious on the road. He suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. Officials believe that distracted driving, drunk driving and high-speed did not contribute to the crash. No other details are immediately available.

The incident remains under review.
