32-year-old Brett Mitchell died after a hit-and-run collision in Bellflower (Bellflower, CA)

On Sunday, officials identified 32-year-old Brett Mitchell as the man who lost his life after a motorcycle crash Saturday in Bellflower.

The fatal hit-and-run collision was reported at 8:49 p.m. Saturday on Woodruff Avenue at Alondra Boulevard. The preliminary reports showed that a motorcycle ridden by Mitchell was heading northbound on Woodruff when the southbound SUV drifted over the double line and struck the motorbike.

The SUV then drove northbound on Woodruff and out of view. Mitchell was declared dead at the scene. The victim’s city of residence remains unknown at this time. No details are available regarding the suspect or their vehicle.

The incident remains under active review.
