The Washington State Patrol reported a motor vehicle crash on Friday evening. The collision involved two vehicles. The collision took place at the intersection of State Routes 26 and 243, three miles southeast of Vantage, Washington.
According to the WSP, Robert Wagner, 47, of Troy, Idaho, was driving east on SR26 when another car failed to yield at a stop sign going north. Wagner’s car then t-boned the vehicle that didn’t yield to the driver’s side.
Abhinav Srivastava, 32, of Richland, Washington, was identified as the driver of the second car, and he was declared dead at the scene. His companion, 28-year-old Stuti Srivastava, was required to be airlifted to Harborview Medical Centre due to serious injuries as well. Wagner reportedly suffered no injuries in the fatal crash.
