According to California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle collision occurred in Fresno that killed a 31-year-old woman.
The officials reported a crash on Church Avenue between West and Hughes avenues at around 3:15 p.m. A small Kia was struck from the back by a full-size SUV, Cadillac Escalade towards the front by a GMC van.
The Cadillac Escalade rear-end the small Kia that had stopped to make a left turn into their residence. The Kia was pushed into the oncoming traffic into the direct path of the GMC driver with a 63-year-old man and 63-year-old woman as passengers.
The passenger in the Kia was taken to Fresno Community Regional Medical Center but succumbed to her injuries.
The identity of the deceased was not released by the CHP.
No additional information regarding other casualties is available.
The CHP is investigating the fatal crash.
