A 31-year-old woman received injuries following a two-vehicle accident Saturday in San Diego’s Core-Columbia District.
As per the initial information, the authorities actively responded to the 11th Avenue and E. Street at 12:06 a.m. after getting reports of an electric scooter crash. The early reports showed that a 64-year-old driver for Uber was driving a Toyota Sienna northbound on 800 11th Avenue when the scooter rider, who was driving east on 1000 E. Street, entered the intersection at 11th and E and T-boned the Toyota.
The scooter rider had an open fracture of the left tibia/fibula and was transported to a hospital with non-fatal injuries. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time. No further details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
