Authorities identified 31-year-old Orlando Lombard Junior as the man who lost his life after being hit by a train on the city’s northeast side on April 17.
The fatal pedestrian crash took place at about 1 a.m. along Roland Avenue and J Street. According to the investigation reports, the conductor attempted to warn and alert Lombard by blowing the train horn.
The man failed to move and got struck by the train. Lombard suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No additional information has been provided by the authorities.
The incident remains under active review.
