Authorities identified 31-year-old Nicholas Pimentel as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in far west Bexar County.
The fatal car crash took place on Culebra Road and Talley Road. The preliminary investigation showed that a 17-year-old girl was driving a KIA SUV on Culebra Road and had turned left on Talley Road in front of the big rig. At that point of time, the tractor-trailer struck the passenger side of the SUV.
Nicholas Pimentel was the passenger in the SUV. Pimentel was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen driver was transported to University Hospital in unknown condition. Information from the Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that Pimentel was only about three miles away from his home. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
