31-year-old man dead after a motorcycle crash in Tomball area (Harris County, TX)

On Friday, a 31-year-old man lost his life following a two-vehicle collision in Tomball area.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle accident took place at about 7:20 p.m. in the 11700 block of Spring Cypress. The early reports indicated that the motorcyclist was going eastbound when a white Nissan Ultima made a U-turn from the westbound lanes. The motorcyclist failed to stop in time and crashed into the Nissan. Officials believe that the rider was speeding at the time of the collision.

The motorcyclist suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. He was only described as a 31-year-old Hispanic man. He was reportedly wearing a helmet at that time. The driver of the Nissan did not stop and render aid and left the scene. According to the authorities, the Nissan Ultima should have damage to the back end. No other information was provided.

The incident remains under active review.
