31-year-old Katlyn Braley dead after a bicycle crash on State Street (San Jacinto, CA)

On Wednesday, 31-year-old Katlyn Braley, from San Jacinto, was killed following a two-vehicle accident on State Street.

As per the initial information, the fatal bicycle crash happened at around 12:05 a.m. north of Record Road. The early reports revealed that Braley was riding her bike north on the two-lane road, where there were no street lights. The driver of a gray 2013 Kia Optima was traveling northbound when he rear-ended the bicycle. The man did not realize that he had struck someone and continued going north, but he quickly turned around and returned to the scene.

The involved driver, a 58-year-old Redlands man, immediately called 911 for help. On arrival, emergency responders declared Braley deceased. According to the officials, the involved driver did not display any signs of impairment. Authorities are trying to find out the cause that had led to the accident. The driver was interviewed but not arrested. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
