The Modesto Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash on Tuesday evening. The accident happened at the Coffee Rd and Morris Ave intersection, north of Scenic Rd at around 3:45 p.m.
According to MPD Spokeswoman Sharon Bear, the motorcycle was travelling south on Coffee when it collided with a Chevrolet Tahoe being driven by a woman who had been travelling north on Coffee and was attempting to turn west onto Morris.
The motorcyclist, identified as James Harris, 31 was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Bear was unaware of any injuries to the SUV’s occupants. The fatal crash is still being investigated by the officials.
