According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Tuesday in San Diego. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the multi-vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on the 405 Freeway, in the Westwood area. The deceased person was identified as 30-year-old Juan Rodas.
Rodas was struck by four vehicles travelling in the lane. His body was found in the middle of the freeway.
Other insights into the collision are yet to be released. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
The cause of the accident has not been determined yet. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
