30-year-old Detroit man dead after a single-car crash in Dearborn (Dearborn, MI)

On Sunday, a 30-year-old Detroit man lost his life while a woman suffered injuries following a single-vehicle accident in Dearborn.

As per the initial information, officers quickly responded to the intersection of Greenfield Road and Michigan Avenue at around 1:30 a.m. after getting reports of a car crash. The early reports showed that a Chrysler Town and Country was heading eastbound on Michigan Avenue when the car went off the roadway going eastbound through the intersection, hitting utility poles and a tree.

The driver of the car, a 30-year-old Detroit man, succumbed to his injuries after the collision. His passenger, a 27-year-old Detroit woman, was taken to an area hospital where she is listed in stable condition. Speed and intoxicants are believed to have contributed to the accident. No further details were provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
