30-year-old Cortez Holden dead after a solo-vehicle crash in Augusta (Augusta, GA)

Authorities identified 30-year-old Cortez Holden as the man who lost his life following a traffic collision on Saturday night in Augusta.

As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place on Jimmy Dyess Parkway at Belair Road. The preliminary investigation indicated that the man was driving a Dodge Ram Truck when he failed to maintain control of his vehicle. The truck rolled over multiple times and Cortez Holden was partially ejected due to the impact.

He suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene at 11 p.m. by the officials. Holden was not buckled up at the time of the accident. No autopsy will be done, authorities mentioned. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under investigation.
