30-Year-Old Alberta Lavetta Cons Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In West Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

Phoenix police reported a pedestrian crash near 51st Avenue and Encanto Boulevard on Wednesday morning.

The pedestrian was identified as Alberta Lavetta Cons, 30, who died from her injuries.

According to a spokesperson, Sgt. Melissa Soliz, Lavetta was struck by a pickup truck.

The pickup truck traveling south on 51st avenue began to slow down and back up due to a broken-down car in the lane. The truck crashed into another truck while attempting to take a left.

Following the collision, the truck veered right and hit Cons, who was standing on the sidewalk.
