3 people hurt after a vehicle slams into Grand Traverse Pie Company in Kentwood (Kentwood, MI)

On Thursday afternoon, three people were hurt after a car crashed through the front of Grand Traverse Pie Company in Kentwood.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place at about 2:30 p.m. at Grand Traverse Pie Company restaurant on 28th Street and Shaffer Avenue SE by Woodland Mall. The early reports showed that the driver struck at least one vehicle on 28th Street, and then went across the parking lot and through the front window of the restaurant.

At least one of the injured people was sitting inside the restaurant. None of the injuries suffered by the victims are considered life-threatening. Officials believe that alcohol was not involved in the accident. No other details are immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
