According to the California Highway Police, a multi-vehicle crash happened after a truck hauling a load of tomatoes crashed on Monday.
The officials reported that the truck driver crashed into the center divider spilling its load across several lanes of the Northern California highway.
Officer Jason Tyhurst stated that the truck was one of the three vehicles that collided on the westbound lanes of Highway 80 near Vacaville.
Officials stated that three people were transported to the hospital.
One of the victims suffered major injuries in the crash.
No additional information regarding the identity of the victims was released by the officials.
