3 People Hospitalized Following A Two-Vehicle Crash In Cass County (Cass County, MI)

Deputies from the Cass County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two-vehicle crash at Dailey Road and Pokagon Highway that hospitalized three people.

According to the police, Theresa Schultz,60, from Fort Wayne, Indiana, was traveling westbound on Pokagon Highway. Jordan Hanifa, 32, of Dowagiac, was traveling southbound on Dailey Road. 

After stopping at the stop sign, Hanifan continued forward, failing to yield and striking Schultz’s car. 

Hanifan was traveling with three other passengers inside his vehicle – ages 28, 9, and 7. 

The two vehicles were pushed off the road. Emergency personnel extricated Hanifan. 

Shultz was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac. 

Hanifan and one passenger in his vehicle were taken to South Bend Memorial hospital.

Alcohol does not seem to be a factor in the crash. 

According to the police, seatbelts were worn.
