3 people died including an 11-year-old Dezerra Wright in road rage crash near Avondale (Avondale, AZ)

Three people lost their lives in a road rage crash in Jefferson Parish at about 5:47 p.m. on La. 18 near La. 541 in Avondale on Saturday evening.

The deceased involved a 49-year-old Paul Ferrara of New Orleans, a 31-year-old Raish-Nia Wright, and 11-year-old Dezerra Wright, both of Tennessee. Reports revealed that a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup was going eastbound on La 18, with a 2002 Dodge Durango following closely behind at a high speed.

As the two-lane road became four lanes, Ferrara’s Durango moved to the left lane alongside the pickup and hit it on the side. Ferrara’s vehicle then rotated into the westbound lanes and crashed into Raish-Nia Wright’s 2016 Hyundai Elantra traveling in the opposite direction.

An investigation regarding the deadly wreck is ongoing.
