On Saturday evening, a traffic crash claimed lives of three people in New Orleans East.
The fatal incident took place at about 6 p.m. at the intersection of Morrison Road and Gannon. As per reports, a bystander saw the car in a canal and informed the police. On arrival, officials found an adult male, adult female and a young female child dead inside the vehicle.
The identities of the deceased have not been released at this time. Blood and alcohol tests are pending and an autopsy will be conducted to find out the exact cause of the death.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
