On early Friday, three people lost their lives while six others suffered injuries following a fiery crash in Phoenix.
As per the initial information, the fatal multi-vehicle pile-up took place at 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road. The early reports showed that one of the cars caught fire as a result of the collision. According to the officials, three people died as a result of the wreck.
Four teenagers and two women were rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. A woman in her 30s was in extremely critical condition; the other female, in her 20s, and two of the male teens were in critical condition.
On the other hand, a male teen and a female teen were listed in stable condition. The intersection near Arizona State University West was shut down in all directions for hours as crews worked at the scene. No other details are immediately available.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
