On Sunday, three people sustained critical injuries following a rollover crash in Phoenix.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident was reported at around 1:15 a.m. near 7th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. The early reports showed that a vehicle was traveling northbound on 7th Avenue when it failed to stop at a red light at Bethany Home and slammed into another vehicle going westbound.
Due to the impact, both the vehicles flipped into a nearby Circle K gas station on the northwest corner. On arrival, emergency responders extricated two women from the wreckage. They were both transported to a hospital with critical injuries. Another adult passenger in the second vehicle was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the collision and was also rushed to a hospital with critical injuries.
A man and two toddlers were assessed by paramedics at the scene but they did not need to be transported to the hospital. The identities of the injured victims have not been revealed at this time. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
