On Thursday, 29-year-old Trey Augustine and a 14-year-old girl lost their lives following a two-vehicle accident in Westlake.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place near Davis Road and Fletcher Road at about 10:30 p.m. The early reports indicated that a motorcycle, driven by Trey Augustine, of Westlake, was heading north on Davis Road when it rear-ended a four-wheeler that was going in the same direction.
The impact ejected Augustine and all three individuals on the four-wheeler from the vehicles. Augustine suffered major injuries and was declared deceased at the scene by the officials. The driver of the four-wheeler and a juvenile passenger were taken to a nearby hospital.
The 30-year-old driver of the four-wheeler received serious injuries whereas the other passenger, a 15-year-old, incurred only minor injuries. The passenger, a 14-year-old girl, was later declared dead at the hospital. No additional details were provided.
An investigation is continuing.
