29-year-old Ronnie Jackson dead after a two-vehicle accident on I-210 (Lake Charles, LA)

Officials identified 29-year-old Ronnie Jackson, of Lake Charles, as the victim who was killed following a two-vehicle crash late Thursday night.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at around 11:17 p.m. on Interstate 210. The preliminary investigation indicated that a 2009 Chevrolet Aveo was traveling westbound in the outside lane when it pulled over with its emergency lights flashing.

Just then, a 2021 Ford F150 also going westbound in the outside lane failed to see the Chevrolet and rear-ended it. The driver of the Chevrolet, Ronnie Jackson, suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The driver of the Ford remained uninjured. No other details are available.

An investigation is continuing.
