29-year-old man injured after an auto-pedestrian collision in Tacoma (Tacoma, WA)

On Tuesday night, a 29-year-old man suffered injuries after being hit by a vehicle in Tacoma.

As per the initial information, the auto-pedestrian crash took place north of the Tacoma Dome in the 1000 block of Puyallup Avenue between McKinley Avenue East and East K Street. The authorities reported the incident at around 10:20 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a 37-year-old woman driving a Ford Sedan was going east when a man ran across the road and got struck by the vehicle. On arrival, medics rushed the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officers stated that the driver failed to see the pedestrian, and no citation was issued.

There were no indications that the woman was driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs. The man’s condition is unknown as of Wednesday morning. Authorities closed that part of the road as crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
