A 29-year-old man suffered serious injuries following a rear-end collision Saturday in the Nestor neighborhood.
As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place at 8 p.m. Saturday in the eastbound lanes of 1800 Palm Ave. The preliminary reports showed that a Nissan Altima crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer carrying petroleum that was stopped at a red light.
On arrival, first responders rushed the Nissan driver to a hospital and he underwent surgery. His injuries were believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the tractor-trailer remained unharmed in the collision. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
