29-year-old man died after a hit-and-run accident in Vallejo (Vallejo, CA)

A 29-year-old man lost his life after an auto-pedestrian crash Sunday in Vallejo.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run accident took place in the 2900 block of Sonoma Boulevard. The preliminary reports showed that the 29-year-old victim was hit at the 2900 block of Sonoma Boulevard. On arrival, responding officers found the man lying in the roadway just after 7 p.m.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital with major injuries. He was later declared dead at the hospital. The Solano County Coroner’s office will publicly reveal the identity of the deceased after notifying the next of kin. Police have issued photographs of the hit-and-run vehicle.

It is described as two-door white sedan with “significant front-end damage.” The preliminary information showed that the vehicle was heading northbound on Sonoma Blvd. at the time of the crash. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
