29-year-old man dead after an auto-pedestrian collision in San Marcos (San Marcos, CA)

On Tuesday, a 29-year-old man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in San Marcos.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at 11:24 p.m. in the 1300 block of West Mission Road. The early reports showed that a 29-year-old man was trying to cross the street when he got struck by a Dodge Ram 1500.

The man suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The 56-year-old male driver remained unharmed in the accident. It is unknown if alcohol and speeding contributed to the collision. No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
