29-Year-Old Habimana Ciza Killed In A Hit-And-Run Accident In Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

In a tragic hit-and-run accident, Habimana Ciza, 29, lost his life in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The collision occurred around 4:50 a.m. near 35th Avenue and Camelback Road, adjacent to Grand Canyon University.

Eyewitnesses reported that Ciza was struck by a dark-coloured Honda SUV while crossing the intersection. Ciza was critically injured and was rushed to the hospital. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. 

The driver, identified as Graciela Gracia-Marquez, fled the fatal crash but was apprehended after an extensive investigation. Gracia-Marquez has been booked into jail on charges related to leaving the scene of a collision resulting in death.

While traffic was temporarily halted on Camelback Road, it has since resumed. The investigation remains ongoing.
