According to the Kern County coroner’s office, a bicycle accident was reported on Sunday morning.
The officials stated that the crash happened on Allen Road north of Jomani Drive at around 5:41 a.m.
Upon arrival, the officials found that a man was suffering from major injuries.
The officials identified the man as 29-year-old David Wood Jr.
Wood Jr was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating to determine whether drugs, alcohol or reckless driving was a factor involved in the fatal crash.
No additional information relating to the fatal crash was provided by the officers.
