A 28-year-old man received serious injuries after his car veered off the road and went into a ditch Thursday night in Ramona.
As per the initial information, the car accident took place at around 10:20 p.m. on Main Street, east of Third Street. The preliminary reports showed that a man was traveling west in a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta when, for undetermined reasons, his car went off the road and went into the ditch, where it rolled over.
The driver was not buckled up at the time of the crash. He sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. Alcohol or drugs were not believed to be involved in the collision. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
