Authorities identified 28-year-old Jonathon Prado and 32-year-old Claudia Mora Lopez, both from Wasco, as the victims who lost their lives following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night in Bakersfield.
The fatal car crash took place at the intersection of Kimberlina Road and Magnolia Avenue. The investigation reports showed that a Rav4 and a Honda Accord were involved in the collision. The reports further revealed that 34-year-old Jonathan B. P. Lopez was driving west on Kimberlina Road in the Rav4 when the Honda Accord ran a stop sign at Magnolia Avenue and entered into the intersection, resulting in the wreck.
Claudia Mora Lopez was a passenger in the Accord while Jonathon Prado was the driver. Both of them were declared dead at the scene. Jonathan B.P. Lopez was taken to Kern Medical with moderate injuries. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
