A 27-year-old man was seriously injured after a two-vehicle accident Sunday in Kearny Mesa.
As per the initial information, the motorcycle crash took place at about 11 p.m. in the 9000 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. The preliminary reports showed that a 53-year-old man in a Penske truck was driving in the middle lane near the 27-year-old victim on a Suzuki GSxR in the right lane of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. The reports further revealed that the truck driver turned right in front of the motorcycle, hitting the rider on his right side.
The motorcyclist was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries to his lungs and back. The victim reportedly lost all feeling to his legs and had no blood flow below the waist. Alcohol did not play a part in the crash. No other details are available.
The collision remains under investigation.
