Thibodaux Police responded to a bicycle crash that claimed the life of 26-year-old Seth Benoit.
According to the authorities, Benoit was traveling south on Oakley Street on his motorized bicycle when he attempted to cross the intersection at LA Highway 3107. A 2015 Ford F-150 was traveling west on the Highway.
For reasons unknown, Benoit failed to yield and collided with the Ford. He was ejected from his bicycle in the opposite lane.
Benoit was again struck by a 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe traveling eastbound.
Drugs or alcohol do not seem to be a factor in the crash.
The crash is being investigated.
