26-Year-Old Jason McCray Arrested Following A Dirt Bike Crash In North Acadian Thruway (Baton Rouge, LA)

Officials reported a pursuit that resulted in a fiery dirt bike crash, injuring the suspect. The chase started in the area of North Acadian Thruway when four people on dirt bikes fled the police. 

The chase ended after one of the riders crashed on Fairfields Avenue, and his bike caught fire. The rider was identified as Jason McCary, 26, who tried to flee. McCary was taken to the hospital for road burns and lacerations following the crash. 

He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison under various charges. 

According to the police, the other three drivers escaped the scene, and a search was underway. No additional details were provided by the police. The incident is under investigation.
