26-year-old Gustavo Castro and 2 juveniles died after a car crash in Orange; Azarie Fuller responsible (Orange, CA)

Authorities identified 26-year-old Gustavo Castro, of Garden Grove, as the victim who died following a high-speed crash that also killed two juveniles and injured four other people Saturday in Orange. 19-year-old Azarie Fuller, of Exeter, CA was identified as the driver of the Nissan Altima who was responsible for the wreck.

The fiery car collision took place on Glassell Street. The investigation reports showed that Fuller, three male juveniles, two female juveniles, and one male adult were inside the car when the incident happened. At about 2:47 a.m., two officers from the Orange Police Department were conducting unrelated police activity and saw the Nissan going south on Glassell Street at a high rate of speed from Lincoln Avenue.

As the officers drove south on Glassell in order to locate the vehicle, they found it fully covered in flames on Glassell north of Taft Avenue. They found the seven occupants who had all been thrown from the vehicle due to the impact. One female juvenile, one male juvenile, and 26-year-old Gustavo Castro died of their injuries at the scene.

The driver, Azarie Fuller, along with one male juvenile and one female juvenile were rushed to local hospitals with critical injuries. The seventh passenger, a male juvenile, was hospitalized with moderate injuries. Witness statements along with evidence at the scene, which included a suspected Nitrous Oxide tank and balloons, indicate alcohol and drugs in addition to speeding possibly contributed to the accident. No further details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
