The Lafayette Police Department is investigating a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Kaliste Saloom Road and Lake Farm Road on Sunday.
According to the police, 25-year-old Xavier Broussard was heading east on Kaliste Saloom road when an oncoming vehicle was trying to turn left across the eastbound lane.
Brossard sustained fatal injuries from the crash and died on the scene.
Alcohol does not believe to be a factor in the crash.
Additional information regarding the crash is currently unavailable. An investigation into the crash is under review.
