On early Wednesday morning, a 25-year-old man lost his life following a traffic collision in Glendale.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area near 75th Avenue and Villa Rita Drive a little after 12:30 a.m. in response to a single-vehicle crash. The early reports showed that the man was driving a pickup truck traveling south when it crashed into a wall on a major road.
On arrival, responders found a 25-year-old man in the truck. The victim suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. At this time, it is unknown if speed and impairment contributed to the collision.
75th Avenue between Union Hills Drive and Bell Road was completely blocked in both directions for most of the overnight hours as crews worked at the scene, but was back open later Wednesday morning. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
