California Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle crash in southeast Bakersfield around 1:30 a.m.
The crash happened on DiGiorgio Road east of South Edison road.
The preliminary investigation into the crash reveals Adolfo Lievanos Garcia, 33, of Lamont, was traveling west on DiGiorgio road. Garcia struck the motorcycle from behind.
The motorcyclist was identified as Luis Alvarez Condo, 25, of Bakersfield.
The impact of the collision led to the ejection of Alvarez Condo and overturning several times.
Alvarez Condo was spotted unconscious by the Kern County Fire Department. He later died due to his injuries.
Alcohol or drugs do not seem to be a factor in the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
