Authorities confirmed that 25-year-old Lakerielle M Kittlin, an Alexandria woman, died of injuries she suffered following a traffic collision on January 11 in Grant Parish.
The fatal two-vehicle crash took place on Louisiana Highway 8, just east of Highway 165. According to the investigation reports, a vehicle was heading west on HWY 8 when it went over the centerline and crashed head-on into another vehicle driven by Lakerielle M Kittlin. Due to the impact, Kittlin’s vehicle got engulfed in flames.
Kittlin suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital. On January 24, 2022, authorities learned that Kittlin had died of her injuries and was declared deceased on January 22, 2022. The driver of the other vehicle incurred only minor injuries in the accident. No further details were provided.
An investigation continues.
