According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Carson County on Wednesday. The crash happened eastbound on I-40 at around 10:05 p.m.
According to the investigators, a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 25-year-old were involved in the collision. The driver of the Jeep traveling eastbound at a high speed lost control of her vehicle and entered a side skid to the right.
The Jeep driver was identified as 25-year-old James Swan who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident is still being investigated by the authorities. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. Additional information regarding the fatal crash is not available.
