Cass County Sheriff’s Office reported a single-vehicle crash that injured a person. The crash happened on Sunday after a pickup struck a tree.
The victim was identified as 25-year-old Efrain Razo.
According to Sheriffs Richard J. Behnke, Razo was heading south on Rudy Road. The pickup traveled off the roadway onto a tree. Razo sustained minor injuries from the crash and exited the vehicle through the driver-side window.
According to Behnke, the vehicle caught fire soon after Razo made it out safely. Behnke said that Wayne Township Fire and Dowagiac Fire Departments were on the scene and able to extinguish the fire.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be a factor in the crash. The crash is being investigated.
