The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported a multi-vehicle accident on Sunday afternoon.
According to the Police, the incident occurred on Air Expressway near Nevada Avenue at around 5 p.m.
The incident involved four cars resulting in the death of one and injuries to two others.
The Sheriff’s Department stated that the man who died was driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla. The crash occurred when he tried to pass another vehicle. The victim collided with a Chevrolet Silverado followed by a Kia Soul. The Corolla and Silverado were engulfed in flames. The Kia Soul rolled over multiple times and struck a Volkswagen Jetta.
According to the officials, the driver of the 2020 Silverado was identified as a 50-year-old man from Hesperia and the driver of the Kia Soul, a 46-year-old woman from Hesperia. Both the victims were taken to the local hospital with injuries.
The identity of the deceased is awaited.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the collision further.
