Authorities responded to a motorcycle accident Saturday that resulted in a death. The crash happened on Rodeo road near the Santa Fe Place mall shortly after 2:00.
The motorcyclist was identified as 25-year-old Cameron Thomas.
Thomas was transported to a hospital in Albuquerque.
He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
Witnesses reported to the police that the motorcyclist was speeding before the crash.
There was no additional information regarding the accident.
An investigation into the crash is under review.
