24-year-old woman killed after a high-speed crash in Yakima (Yakima, WA)

A 24-year-old woman lost her life following a rollover crash in Yakima.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the 4600 block of W Nob Hill Blvd at about 2:10 a.m. after getting reports of a single-vehicle accident. The early reports showed that the vehicle was going at a high rate of speed when the woman failed to maintain control of the car as a result of which the vehicle crashed into a barrier wall and a telephone pole. The car flipped over multiple times before it came to a stop.

On arrival, responders found the Yakima woman trapped under the car. She suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the officials. The woman, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was not buckled up at the time of the collision. It is unknown if intoxicants played a factor in the crash. No other details are made available.

An investigation is ongoing.
