A 24-year-old Northern California man lost his life Wednesday after a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 5 near the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

The preliminary reports showed that the man was riding southbound when his Kawasaki two-wheeler hit the back of a Chevrolet 2500 pickup truck north of Valle De La Valle in Solana Beach at around 9 a.m. Due to the impact, the Nevada City resident fell onto the roadway, sustaining fatal trauma.
