24-year-old Connor Deklyen hospitalized after a two-vehicle collision in Vancouver (Vancouver, WA)

Authorities identified 24-year-old Connor Deklyen as the man who suffered injuries following a traffic collision on Tuesday afternoon in Vancouver.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle crash took place a little after 3:15 p.m. near the intersection of NW 149th Street and NW 11th Avenue. The early reports showed that a 2008 Mazda Cx9, driven by 24-year-old Connor Deklyen, of Vancouver, crashed into a parked recycling truck from behind.

According to the officials, excessive speed and inattention led to the crash. On arrival, emergency crews rushed Deklyen to a local hospital after being tended to on-scene by off-duty medical personnel. His injuries are considered serious, but not life-threatening. No other details are made available.

The crash remains under investigation.
