A 23-year-old man lost his life following a single-vehicle accident Tuesday in Fairfield.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place at about 12:10 a.m. along Lyons Road near Interstate 80. According to the authorities, the rider was a 23-year-old male, possibly from San Mateo. The man was travelling along Lyons Road when the incident happened.
On arrival, first responders found the driver on Lyons Road while the motorcycle was found on I-80. Speeding is suspected to be a factor in the accident. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
