Authorities identified 23-year-old Kyra Richardson as the woman who lost her life following a traffic collision early Saturday morning in Dallas.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place just after 2:30 a.m. on the President George Bush Turnpike near Midway Road. The preliminary reports showed that Richardson and another driver were heading west on the turnpike.
The reports further stated that the second driver was in the farthest right lane and Richardson was in the left lane next to it. Richardson reportedly stopped in her lane after passing the exit to Midway Road. She then allegedly backed up and turned right into the far right lane to exit the turnpike.
At that point of time, the other vehicle hit Richardson’s vehicle. Due to the impact, her vehicle struck a guardrail on the right side and flipped over. Richardson was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No other details are available.
An investigation is ongoing.
