A 22-year-old Manteca man lost his life and another person suffered injuries after a crash Tuesday afternoon in Tracy.
As per the initial information, the fatal traffic collision took place at around 4:37 p.m. on Patterson Pass Road and Schulte Road. On arrival, responders found two people inside a car. The preliminary reports showed that the car was attempting to make a turn when it lost control and crashed into a parked semi-truck and loaded trailer.
A 22-year-old man was rushed to a hospital where he later died of his injuries. A 19-year-old passenger was also taken to the hospital with non-critical injuries. The roadway was closed to allow firefighters to work and free the victims. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
