Authorities identified 22-year-old Lauren Carreon, of New Braunfels, as the woman who lost her life following a traffic collision on Saturday morning in Schertz.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place on I-35 north, near Cibolo valley drive at about 2:00 AM. The early reports showed that the driver of a silver car failed to maintain control of the vehicle and struck a highway barrier several times. After few moments, a silver truck heading northbound on Interstate 35 slammed into the silver car.
A passenger in the silver car, identified as 22-year-old Lauren Carreon, died of her injuries after the collision. The drivers of the car and the truck were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. No other details are immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
